Artur Tajber
Intermedia artist living in Krakow, Poland (1953 born). Involved in the international performance art movement since the mid-seventies. In the late seventies he began organisational, curatorial and dissident activity as well as travelling and exhibiting abroad. During martial law he was a co-founder of the KONGER performance art formula. He is the author of performances, installations, photographic and video experiments and theoretical texts, organiser of artistic events and activities in Poland and worldwide – galleries, festivals, publications, exhibitions and organisations. In nineties he was a co-founder and president of Fort Sztuki Association (fortress of art 1996-2007).
Professor, academic teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow - he is the co-author of a unique curriculum in intermedia and its experimental methodology. In 2007 he was appointed head of the Department of Intermedia instigated by him and formed at the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP), then in 2012 become a first dean of the Faculty of intermedia in Krakow (for two terms - 2012-2020).
